Winter Wedding at The Pheasant Hotel

Paula & John | November 1st 2025

John booked me for a half day wedding photography coverage. Both John and Paula wanted natural, candid photos of their day and my photography style suited this perfectly. I arrived half an hour before the wedding ceremony to capture guests arriving and Paula as she came down the stairs for the ceremony. Paula looked beautiful, in an elegant floaty sleeved wedding dress and a bouquet complete with white roses.

A Relaxed Winter Wedding Ceremony

Paula’s elderly father was able to walk her down the aisle – a very emotional moment for both of them and a joy to photograph. The sun was gleaming through the orangery as they said there marriage vows. They enjoyed two readings from loved ones and the whole room cheered as they walked back down the aisle.

After the ceremony, guests came to greet the newlyweds by The Pheasant Hotel bar, where I was able to capture some lovely candid photos. Shortly after, we headed outside for some group photos. We used a tree at the front of the venue, with beautiful orange leaves, for the perfect autumnal backdrop.

Half Day Wedding Coverage at The Pheasant Hotel

John and Paula only wanted a few couple portraits, so I led them for some natural photos, down the driveway with the autumn leaves dusting the floor in the background. To our surprise, one of John’s friends cycled past us in his boxers on one of the Pheasant Hotel’s bicycles – it was hilarious and of course I just had to capture the moment!

Live Music, Laughter and Autumn Details

As it turned cooler, we headed back inside to the bar where live singer, Mickey Fordola was entertaining guests with classic swing. Everyone relaxed in the lounge and by the bar while champagne flutes were being charged in the dinning room. The Pheasant Hotel has beautiful green and cream decor, with pheasant wallpaper in the dining room. It is classy and relaxing, making the ideal backdrop for photographs. The tables were decorated with mini cream pumpkins and green gourds – they matched the room perfectly and were fitting for the autumnal theme.

The Pheasant Hotel Wedding Photographer

After enjoying a delicious wedding breakfast at The Pheasant Hotel, guests roared at some hilarious speeches. Many priceless photographs were handed round tables – mainly of John in wigs. Everyone was fully engaged in every story.

Paula and John cut their wedding cake and moved into the orangery to share their first dance. Shortly after, their loved ones joined them on the dance floor and the little ones were enjoying every moment. Thank you for having me, John and Paula!
