Alice got ready at her home in Fakenham with her mum, two bridesmaids and adorable flower girl, Evee. She looked absolutely gorgeous! Her hair was styled in a long plait, decorated with gypsophila, from Sarah Coxon Floral Design complimenting her open back, lace wedding dress from Wed2B perfectly. She was greeted by her Dad as she came down the stairs for the first look in her wedding dress before travelling to the Thursford Garden Pavilion in a baby blue Hillman.
The Pavilion was complete with hessian bows and flower filled gin bottles and the guests awaited Alice’s arrival in the Old Farm Barn. After a short ceremony and signing of the register, the newly weds made their way through the fairy lit foyer, to the courtyard to greet their guests. The group photo of the entire wedding party and confetti throwing took place in the main gardens, with the smaller groups in the walled garden, in front of the water fountain.
Alice and Joe were welcomed by applause into the Pavilion for their wedding breakfast, followed by speeches which had the whole room in fits of laughter. The wedding party enjoyed drinks from the bar, photos in front of the flower wall and signing the guest book. They even had a framed image of a silhouette couple in a hot air balloon, where guests used coloured ink to print their thumbs on as balloons – what a brilliant idea!
Afterwards, I took Alice and Joe around the gardens and courtyard for some last light photos before the evening guests arrived. As it was a September wedding, Thursford had all of its Christmas lights up, ready for the Christmas Spectacular Show, which made the venue look even more amazing at night! After some photo booth antics, the first dance, father and daughter dance and even a grandfather and granddaughter dance, we made the most of the Christmas lights by creating some gorgeous night portraits to finish off a wonderful day.
