Rebecca & Liam | Stower Grange Wedding

Covid Wedding | 30/10/2020
Pre-wedding Photoshoot:
I first met Rebecca and Liam at Stower Grange, Drayton in 2019 to discuss their wedding and was delighted when they chose me to photograph their special day. They decided to have their pre-wedding photo shoot on Cromer beach, late September and they absolutely aced their poses and were complete naturals in front of the camera!
Coronavirus Issues:
Their wedding day was due to take place on the 27th May 2020, but unfortunately due to the Covid Pandemic they had to postpone until the end of October where they were reduced to just 15 guests! But despite the challenges they faced, they had a brilliant day and even the weather was on their side, which for October was really lucky!
The Wedding:
I arrived (face mask at the ready) at Stower Grange to capture the bridal prep and got some lovely shots including the dress, accessories, flowers and Rebecca’s bride tribe as they got ready. I then headed down to St. Margaret’s Church just around the corner from the venue to capture Liam and his best men. After a shower of rain in the morning, the sun came out in perfect timing for Rebecca to walk down to the church. They even had an iPad set up to film the ceremony for all of the guests that couldn’t join them.
The sun was out after the ceremony, ready for the confetti shot and some bride and groom photos at the church, before they walked back to Stower Grange. It was lovely to see cars go by as they watched in awe at the newly weds. Everything looked beautiful, with Autumn leaves decorating the ground and a blanket of red ivy covering the venue – Winter weddings can be just as stunning as Summer weddings!
It was Pimm’s o’clock outside the venue while fun group photos took place in front of the red ivy, and not forgetting the matching groomsmen socks! While the weather was fine, we made the most of the Autumnal tones with some bride and groom photos around the gardens. It stayed dry until we’d finished and we made it back inside before the rain came. After a few drinks in the bar, the guests were called through for the wedding breakfast. The table plan consisted of famous historical battle’s as Rebecca and Liam are keen historians. Speeches and gifts were handed out after the meal, followed by sparkler shots after dusk.
No partying was allowed so R&L had planned a quiz for the evening entertainment, after a mini first dance. The cake was cut and we took the opportunity of a quiet evening to create some night portraits to finish off a brilliant day.
