Jack & Poppy | Hindringham Village Hall Wedding Reception & Party
Norfolk Wedding Photographer
Jack and Poppy are two very lovely, down to earth individuals who I went to School with, so seeing their relationship progress from friends, to husband and wife was wonderful! They opted for photos during their wedding reception and party only, as this part of the day was most special to them – having fun with family and friends. I was delighted when they asked me to capture these memories for them and it just proves that weddings can be done YOUR way and don’t necessarily have to be formal!
They had chosen a 1950’s themed wedding, filled with red and white polka dots, swing dresses for the bridesmaid’s and not forgetting Poppy’s beautiful rose red hair! The guests enjoyed a finger buffet, vintage sweets and champagne upon arrival and the weather was warm enough to be inside or out. Jack’s groomsmen were also in my year at school, so it was lovely to be able to catch up with them again.
Just outside was a hand rolled ice cream truck called Thai Fried Ice from Norwich, who made delicious homemade ice creams for the wedding guests. The afternoon consisted of outdoor group photos, a hog roast, speeches and cutting the cake. As golden hour approached, Jack, Poppy and I ventured into a nearby field for some couple photos as the sun began to set.
Later on, a gorgeous red and cream VW Campervan arrived, with its own built in photo booth – how cool is that! The wedding party and evening guests had lots of fun with fancy dress props and evening drinks inside and out, while blessed with a beautiful pink and blue sky. The evening was complete with first dance and lots of crazy dance moves to Movin’ Sound Discos.
