Glen Lodge Bawburgh Wedding

I first met Ben and Ellie for their pre-wedding photo shoot at the beach. Like many of my couples, they were nervous about having their photo taken, but as we got chatting about their wedding plans, the nerves soon eased. A piggy back and a stroll through the sand dunes on a beautiful sunny day got us all very excited for their wedding day.

Ben and Ellie had booked my half day package, so I joined them at Glen Lodge, Bawburgh prior to their ceremony. Ellie arrived in a beautiful classic car from Silverline Limousines and was very excited to meet Ben down the aisle. They had perfect weather for an outdoor ceremony on the veranda, overlooking the golf course. After the ceremony they walked back down the aisle together and every one lined up for a confetti shot. They had chosen red rose petals which really stand out in the photos and added a romantic touch.

Their wedding guests were able to spend time outside enjoying their drinks and canapés and it turned out that I knew a few of them too. In fact I had previously photographed one of their friends weddings back in 2019! It was great to catch up with several familiar faces. The pergola on top of the veranda where Ben and Ellie said their vows was the perfect spot for group photos and before we knew it, it was time to head inside for the wedding breakfast and speeches. And wow, the speeches were fantastic! The room was filled with outbursts of laughter and a few little surprises too.

Golf buggy couple photos

Getting married at Glen Lodge, Bawburgh means that you get to drive a golf buggy onto the golf course for couple photos. Ben had a great time nearly tipping Ellie out of the buggy and this resulted in some hilarious photos! We headed to the ninth hole which boasts a spectacular backdrop of fields and trees. It was so peaceful there and nice for Ben and Ellie to have some time together. We had the best of both worlds with grass fields and rows of trees and we made the most of these backdrops before heading back to the party. This is where I said goodbye and knew they would have the best time celebrating with their loved ones during an epic party!
