Jackie and Hyon planned their Norwich wedding at The Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist, followed by a beautiful reception at The Assembly House. As a Norfolk wedding photographer, it was a joy to capture their elegant, heritage-rich day.

I met them on a hot summer’s day at East Ruston Old Vicarage for their pre-wedding photo shoot. They chose this location because of its beautiful floral gardens and it did not disappoint. Their pre-wedding shoot was full of laughter as they chased each other through the gardens. It was the perfect way to feel relaxed in front of the camera before their wedding day.

Asian and Mexican Heritage Wedding at The Assembly House

The morning prep took place at The Assembly House in Norwich. As a Norwich wedding photographer, it’s one of my favourite venues thanks to its beautiful light, stylish decor and exceptional staff. I captured both bridal and groom prep, with the morning unfolding in a relaxed, love-filled atmosphere. One of the highlights was Jackie’s first look with her father before they headed to the Cathedral.

I arrived at their Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist wedding, in Norwich city centre, to capture Hyon greeting guests. Shortly after, Jackie arrived in style in a classic cream Bentley. The Cathedral was beautiful and grand, with lots of natural light – perfect for wedding photos. Jackie and Hyon’s Family played a meaningful role throughout the ceremony, making it incredibly special. After the ceremony, guests threw confetti on the Cathedral steps, beneath an intricate doorway. These photos are some of my favourites! We captured group photos inside the Cathedral, followed by couple portraits at the grand entrance.

Mariachi Band Surprise at The Assembly House

Back at the Assembly House, guests were greeted by a surprise Mariachi band! Jackie has Mexican heritage and had planned this for her father. The Grand Hall soon filled with dancing, including a particularly special father- daughter dance. It was an unforgettable moment for everyone in the room. The afternoon included a photo booth and a full group photo outside the Assembly House. Before the wedding breakfast, I took the newlyweds into the garden and around the venue for some fun couple portraits.

Colourful, Classy and Timeless Wedding Photography

Inside the Noverre Ballroom, guests enjoyed a delicious meal, before some heartfelt speeches. For the evening party, everyone gathered in the magnificent Music Room. Jackie and Hyon cut the cake before sharing their first dance beneath classic chandeliers, soon joined by their loved ones. The dance floor was on fire, with everyone circling around the couple. Dance floor favourites such as Gangnam Style were a hit, with everyone joining in on the moves. We finished the wedding day with beautiful couple portraits above the dance floor, framed by glowing chandeliers. The perfect end to a perfect Assembly House wedding in Norwich.
