Binham Priory wedding ceremony & Barnham Broom reception
Scott & Erica | July 7th 2024
I had the pleasure of meeting Erica, Scott and their newborn baby girl back in June 2023. We met at the beach during golden hour for a pre-wedding photo shoot and discussed their wedding plans. They had decided to get married in the historical Binham Priory, in the heart of North Norfolk. The church on site is surrounded by impressive ruins and extensive grounds, perfect for a wedding. The wedding reception was set to take place at Barnham Broom, complete with beautiful views of the golf course and plenty of space for their guests.
Erica spent the morning getting ready at home in Fakenham and was one of the most laid-back brides I’ve met! She wasn’t at all nervous, just excited for the day ahead! A classic car from Silverline Limousines, complete with chauffeur, drove Erica and her bridal party to Binham Priory. After taking some photos of Erica with her wedding car, I went inside the church. Scott and his groomsmen were waiting inside and looked very smart in their royal blue suits. After the ceremony we headed outside for group photos, but the weather had other plans! A moody sky and a sudden downpour greeted us, so we decided to proceed to Barnham Broom in hopes of better weather.

Once the wedding party had arrived and relaxed with a drink, the rain stopped and we were able to continue with group photos. One of the highlights of getting married at Barnham Broom is the opportunity for the couple to drive a golf buggy to the lake for photos. After the speeches I followed the newly weds down to the lake. It is a beautiful setting, complete with a large willow tree and a forest of towering trees. We managed to capture some beautiful photos before the rain came again.
The evening consisted of mini golf in the wedding garden, dressing up for the photo booth and lots of dancing. We even had time for a mini photo shoot with Erica and Scott’s adorable daughter. The varying weather turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we spotted the most impressive, complete rainbow! With no time to waste, Erica, Scott and I rushed back onto the golf course to capture this special moment. This turned out to be one of my favourite images of the day!
Timeless wedding photography in Norfolk
“Well what can I say! Best photographer by far! Hannah done our pre wedding photos when our daughter was only a few weeks old. She made sure she was included and was very patient. Her detail is incredible and nothing was ever a problem. On our wedding day, she worked so hard to get photos of everyone and even sacrificed getting soaked from the rain. Absolutely perfect and we would 100% recommend her.” – E&S
It was an absolute joy to be part of your day Erica and Scott! You all made me feel like part of the family and I loved your mix of historical and scenic venues. Thank you for giving me the chance to capture these timeless memories for you.
