Anteros Art Foundation Norwich City Wedding
Elouise & George | September 7th 2024
Elouise and George had planned an beautifully intimate city wedding at Anteros Art Foundation in the heart of Norwich. They opted for a shorter day coverage, so I joined them before their ceremony. As I arrived, George was greeting the guests in the Mediterranean style courtyard. Next door to Anteros is the quaint Merchant’s House cafe and between the two sits a hidden courtyard, nestled away from the city. Anteros is usually an art gallery, housed in a grade II listed Tudor building, but also turns into a quirky and unique wedding venue. Every backdrop is beautiful, complete with wooden beams and lead windows.

Elouise arrived in style over Fye Bridge in a classic Porsche 944. Her vintage style dress completed the look for some photos with the car, before she headed inside to speak to the registrars. The ceremony took place upstairs in front of the fire place with lots of natural light pouring in from the windows. I was also excited to hear Abigail Patrick – a familiar face and incredible wedding singer serenading the guests while Elouise’s dad walked her down the aisle.
After the ceremony the couple and I explored Fye Bridge for some portraits. The scenic views of the river, Cathedral and colourful buildings provided a stunning city backdrop. This gave the guests enough time to line up in the courtyard for a fun confetti shot upon their return. The day was very relaxed enabling me to capture lots of candid moments between the guests. Abigail entertained them with a variety of songs, while they enjoyed drinks and canapés in the courtyard.

In the afternoon George, Elouise and I took a stroll to the historical and picturesque Elm Hill. It is one of my favourite streets in Norwich, paved with cobbles and filled with medieval charm. We stumbled upon a quaint courtyard with an antique shop, cafe and an old fashioned lamp post – the perfect backdrop! After a few photos down the main street and congratulations from passers by, we went back to join the wedding party. ‘Eat with Ella’ had been setting up the grazing boards and food platters in one of the side rooms. Meanwhile the fizz was flowing and a polaroid camera was doing the rounds amongst the wedding party. After the delicious buffet, the evening guests arrived to see the bride and groom cut the cake and have their first dance.

As night fell, some people mingled in the festoon lit courtyard, while an array of colours lit up the windows from the lively dance floor inside. Elouise and George had even set aside a games room for the little ones, complete with Lego. Pizza and cake were the foods of choice for the evening, to fuel them while they danced the night away. What more could you want?!

“Hannah did an incredible job and we’re both so pleased with the photographs from our day. Right from the outset Hannah was super helpful and on the day she blended in perfectly which really shows in the fantastic images we now have to reminisce with and put on display. Hannah, thank you so much.” – E&G
Thank you for having me George and Elouise, I had the best time at your unique city wedding. The whole day had such a great vibe and I hope to return to this timeless wedding venue again in the future!
